The European Commission is requested to mandate that manufacturers offer, upon the purchase of any new vehicle, structural pre-equipment options aimed at facilitating autonomy and transport for all.
These universal accessibility options would notably include standardized electronic pre-wiring for adapted controls, as well as a modular steering architecture (such as a universal steering column and a retractable steering wheel) to allow for rapid and cost-effective PRM (Persons with Reduced Mobility) conversions.

Il est demandé à la Commission européenne d’imposer aux constructeurs de proposer, dès l’achat d’un véhicule neuf, des options de pré-équipement structurel visant à faciliter l’autonomie et le transport de tous.
Ces options d’accessibilité universelle incluraient notamment un précâblage électronique standardisé pour commandes adaptées, ainsi qu’une architecture de direction modulable (telle qu’une colonne de direction universelle et un volant rétractable) pour permettre un aménagement PMR rapide et à moindre coût.
